]]> Baylands Nature Preserve

Bounded by Mountain View and East Palo Alto, the 1,940-acre Baylands Preserve is one of the largest tracts of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay. Fifteen miles of multi-use trails provide access to a unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats.

Many consider this area to be one of the best bird watching areas on the west coast. The preserve has a substantial resident population of birds as well as being a major migratory stopover on the Pacific Flyway.

]]> This years Fourth of July will be a little different than our usual celebrations of our country's Independence Day. Although the city of Santa Clara has cancelled our annual All-City Picnic & Fireworks Extravaganza, we would like to remind you of the different ways to celebrate 4th of July in the comfort of your own home!

Instead of the traditional “in person” July 4th event, transform you day into a memory that will last for years. Be creative, and have fun with members of your family!

  • Set up a video party
  • Camp in your backyard
  • Compete in lawn games (e.g. cornhole, horseshoes, croquet, etc.)
  • Relax by your backyard pool, or have a water balloon fight
  • Make homemade ice cream
  • Create an outdoor theater to watch a movie, concert or fireworks show on TV
  • Entertain one another with a family talent show; extended family can participate via video conference
  • Fly a kite
  • Barbeque

Each day the strength, courage, and compassion of women contribute to this world becoming a thriving and more tolerant place to live. Bringing it back home for a second, we want to thank all the women of Olivewood Apartments for enriching our community here at home and throughout Sunnyvale each day. We say it often but boy do we mean it, we are only as great as our residents and you, my friends, our top notch. Thank you for choosing Olivewood Apartments as your home. 

We would also like to take this opportunity to shine light on the many special women of our own here at S-101 Management Co. We have the distinct pleasure of working in partnership with a group of strong, compassionate, resilient and intelligent women – and men, but with all due respect to their awesomeness, this is a day dedicated to women! From the very top of our company, we are led by the enduring strength, courage and kindness of our female leaders who spend their days supporting and uplifting the many women of our organization.
